Everyone who shares music is doing their best at their own level, and every listener helps create a welcoming room.<\/p>\n<h2>For listeners<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Listen quietly while someone is playing; save conversation and applause for the end of each piece.<\/li>\n<li>Silence phones and step outside only between performances if you need to take a call.<\/li>\n<li>Offer encouragement, not unsolicited criticism or instruction.<\/li>\n<li>Respect the venue, its piano and the organisers&#8217; practical directions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>For performers<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bring something you have prepared and keep within the time guidance in the event listing, usually six minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Choose any piano music you enjoy; level and style are not the point.<\/li>\n<li>Accept that nerves and mistakes are part of live music\u2014perfection is never expected.<\/li>\n<li>Stay to support other players and take part in the shared experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Keeping the space safe<\/h2>\n<p>We are a music community, not a singles group or a commercial platform.
