Do I need to play piano to attend?
No. Listeners are very welcome, and many people come simply to enjoy live music and meet the community.
Can beginners play?
Yes. We welcome every level. Please bring a piece you have worked on, however simple, and remember that no one will interrupt or correct you.
When do I decide whether to play?
You can decide before or at the event, subject to available time. Check in with an organiser when you arrive.
How long can I play?
The current Morecambe Bay format normally allows up to six minutes per performance so that everyone has a chance.
Is there a charge?
Please see the individual Meetup listing. A small contribution may be requested to help with the hall hire and refreshments.
Can I bring sheet music?
Absolutely. Bring whatever helps you enjoy your performance.
Are lessons offered at events?
No. We are a social music community, not a class. Please save technical advice for a private conversation only if it is welcome.
