Finding a place to play the piano in Madrid does not always mean finding a stage. It can also mean finding a community that listens, shares, and lets you enjoy music at your own pace.
Playing the piano in Madrid: a shared experience
PianoMeetups organises gatherings where amateur pianists can perform a piece for a welcoming, respectful audience. There is no audition or style requirement: classical works, film music, jazz, pop, and original compositions all have a place.
Places to play are listed on each event page. If you would prefer to attend without performing, you are equally welcome: many people come to listen to live music and join the conversation afterwards.
Where can you play?
Our gatherings take place in Madrid in a room designed for enjoying piano music and attentive listening. The location, time, capacity, and terms for each session are shown in the event details before you book.
Tips for your first performance
- Choose a piece you feel comfortable playing.
- Arrive with time to get to know the space and check in.
- Do not aim for perfection: the spirit is to share music.
- Respect the time allotted so more people can take part.
You can also come just to listen
Not playing is a great way to begin. You can discover repertoire, meet other enthusiasts, and see how a gathering works before deciding whether you would like to perform another time.
